Like most of our friends in Boulder, we care about our environment. At Spud Bros. we use recyclable plates and cups, we’re powered by the wind and we donate our used peanut oil to make CU Biodiesel.  And speaking of green, we’ve recently added romaine salads to our menu. Topped with fresh veggies and a variety of dressings, these will definitely satisfy your green side!

To say thanks to those of you who do your part, we’ve been offering 20% off any meal purchase to EcoPass holders.

And since tomorrow is Bike To Work Day in Colorado, we’d like to extend this 20% off offer to all Boulderites who make the trek to work via pedal power and leave their cars in the garage! So safe riding tomorrow, Boulder, and once you build up your appetite, make sure to stop in at Spuds with your bike or EcoPass for some more “green” goodies or Spuds’ amazing sweet potatoes!

Spud Bros. menu has just gotten a little meatier, literally.  We have two new additions to our menu - a spicy sausage sandwich and savory bratwurst. Imagine snacking this summer on a “Brothers Brat” - fresh-baked baguettes, stone-ground mustard, fresh local Boulder Bratwurst, sautéed peppers & onions and the Brothers special red kraut. Ausgezeichnet! Or perhaps some juicy Italian sausage made right here in Boulder with tangy marinara, melted mozzarella and savory Parmesan, which makes up our “Brothers Spicy Sausage”.  Molto bene!

Does that get your mouth watering? Because we need some (specifically YOUR) help to get these delish dishes renamed.  So far our spicy sausage sandwich will be called “Brothers Spicy Sausage,” but that unoriginal moniker just doesn’t do it justice. It needs a new name — and that’s where you come in!

What does coming up with a winning name get you? Well if you’re looking for the big bucks, we suggest you play the lottery. BUT if you’re looking for a free t-shirt, the sandwich of your choice and some amazing fries with that, then you should enter our contest.

Kids, we’re a family-friendly restaurant, so keep your suggestions family friendly.  Other than that, hit us with your best suggestion and you can be all that, and a side of fries. Leave your suggestion in the comments or hit us back on Twitter (@spudbros).

Brad Feld has had a lot of good fortune in his life. He is a successful VC at the Foundry Group in Boulder and has become somewhat of a local celebrity in the community. But truth be told, Brad was not always this lucky.

While usually it is Brad that gets to be the one who says “no” to prospective start-ups, Brad, too, has been the on the receiving end of those dreadful words - “you’re fired!”

That’s right folks - Brad Feld, a legend himself - has been fired from a job! When Brad was a young adult and still living in Dallas, he got his first job at Potatoes, Etc. Despite his hard work, this job was short lived, as Brad soon got the boot.

Now, Spud Bros. is giving Brad a chance to redeem himself in the potato industry!

For two hours only, Brad will be behind the counter at Spud Bros., helping us to craft the perfect dish for each of our customers - from baking the fries or steaming the broccoli, to topping the dishes with fresh veggies and savory sauces and seasonings! We promise - whatever you want off our menu - Brad will not be able to say no!

In honor of Brad coming by, Spud Bros. will even donate 50% of the proceeds to the Community Foundation, a local organization that strives to increase the quality of life in the Boulder area.

Come stop by from noon till 2 pm on Tues., April 14 to make sure Brad’s working hard and mastering the art of French fry making. This may be your only chance to get Brad to say “yes” to you, so don’t miss out!

As long as he pleases your taste buds, we promise this is one job he’s sure to not get fired from!

Spud Bros. offers a wide variety of French fry dishes, that’s for sure. From an Asian inspired “Thai’d Up”, to local favorite “Colorado Buffalo Fries”, there are plenty of options to suit any taste bud!

Recently, a traditional French fry dish from Canada has made its way to Spud Bros.! For those of you who are familiar with Canadian dishes, Spud Bros. now has Poutine!

And for those of you who aren’t yet familiar with Poutine, you should be soon! Poutine is a popular version of cheese fries in Canada, but with a little north of the border twist to it. Instead of cheese fries as we know them Poutine combines tender cheese curds and savory gravy to accentuate the French fry goodness.

At Spud Bros. you can get any of our four different types of fries - ultimate, half-baked, just-baked tiny potatoes or sweet potato fries - topped with cheese curds covered in delicious gravy

Stop in today and give Spud Bros. Poutine a try! We promise you,  as a favorite from our neighbor to the north, you won’t be disappointed!
